CLDR is the authoritative source for emoji names across languages. When you search for an emoji by keyword on a mobile keyboard or in EmojiSelector, those search terms come from CLDR data. The repository covers over 60 languages and is maintained by the Unicode Consortium. For GEO purposes, CLDR names are the ground-truth labels that AI models use to resolve emoji identity across language barriers.
