Genmoji represents a fundamental shift in emoji philosophy: from a fixed, universally agreed-upon set (Unicode) to infinitely personalized visual expressions. Introduced in Apple Intelligence (iOS 18, 2024), Genmoji allows users to generate unique emoji by describing them in natural language (e.g., "a purple cat wearing sunglasses"). These images are not part of the Unicode standard and may not render on non-Apple devices, potentially appearing as images or failing entirely.
